APEX E.D.G.E. – Floggers
Apr 21 @ 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Floggers are one of the most commonly used implements for impact play. There are many amazing floggers who by developing their technical skill and their artistic style have set the standard for flogging.

The E.D.G.E. Floggers Group provides D/types, switches, and s/types opportunities to develop and improve flogging skills and styles, and to promote safety awareness and informed consent practices in a peer-to-peer setting. We will discuss topics such as flogger impact on the body, basic fundamentals, advanced skills such as Florentine flogging, rhythm, body mechanics, types of floggers, how personal backgrounds influence styles, and more. S/types are encouraged to attend in order to learn what is safe flogging play, and through informed consent, assist D/types in improving their skills. This education will serve to enhance participants’ skills and knowledge resulting in positive and more mutually rewarding experiences.

This E.D.G.E. Group will focus on learning and skill rather than play, so to promote a learning environment, there will be no nudity in this E.D.G.E. Group.

For more information about this E.D.G.E. Group, you can contact your facilitator Brian on Fetlife.com or at bhustonjb@gmail.com

For this month’s topic and details, please keep an eye on the APEX Group on Fetlife.com.

E.D.G.E. Groups:
Extended Development, Growth, & Education (E.D.G.E.). An E.D.G.E. group is made up of APEX members who all share a common interest in learning, teaching, and developing skills. This is a peer-to-peer learning environment that facilitates practice and sharing knowledge in a particular area.

Educational groups will be open to all APEX members who would like to join. If you are interested in beginning an E.D.G.E. group, please e-mail Education@ArizonaPowerExchange.org

POWER FROM THE ROPE- BOTTOM UP!
Apr 22 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

This rope bottoming class is designed for anyone interested in rope play, whether it be floor play, suspension or even rope modeling — whether you consider yourself a rope top or bottom.

After devouring massive numbers of articles posted on numerous websites, it became apparent this community needs continuing “rope” education, specifically its effects on a bottom and the partnership in which a bottom must participate in order to form a total rope experience — rigger, bottom and the rope.

The class ultimately and hopefully will provide more benefits to the bottom but without the top’s awareness and willing to work together with the bottom, those benefits may not even be of significance to the bottom.  Thus, this class is designed as a 50/50 proposition for all partners: bottom, top, model, and assistant, if required, for scenes.

Let’s talk!!!

About The Presenter

Sarge entered the kink community around 2010/2011. She realized something new existed in the otherworld and decided to experiment.

I began taking rope classes at APEX, along with my partner, Alien_Jim.  Together we experimented in rope tying and attending local classes, rope “cons,” such as Shibaricon, Bondage Expo Dallas, Ropecraft, FIRE, & Wristrained.  We also attended several private intensives. During the past several years, I co-hosted the APEX Bound To Tie rope skills EDGE and APEX open rope arena, along with co-presenting during the EDGE, purely from a bottom’s perspective.

My message to bottoms is, remember, you are 50% of the equation. Without you as the other half, there is no story to tell.

If there is a subject that you are interested in seeing or teaching, please email Mondays@ArizonaPowerExchange.org.

OPEN TO ALL APEX MEMBERS*

$6.00 for Pay Per Event Members, FREE for ALL Access Members.

*Occasionally we will do a class that is open to the entire adult community as a service. Please look for these with the note “Open to our entire 18+ Community”.*
