Being an LGBTQ Ally

An “ally” is a term used to describe someone who is supportive of LGBTQ people. It encompasses non-LGBTQ allies as well as those within the LGBTQ community who support each other, e.g. a lesbian who is an ally to the bisexual community.

Sister Odora Flatulotta D’Pew is one of 10 founding members of the Grand Canyon Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.  SisterOdora has been an active part of the GCSPI since the first planning meeting in September 2006.  Sister Odora has traveled the world representing GCSPI and has solidified strong community relationships and events in Arizona.  In Secular Self Sister Odora aka Scott is a MSW and a current Clinical Coordinator in the Crisis Department at La Frontera EMPACT Suicide Prevention Center.  Sister Odora has a wealth of experience working in mental health crisis, sexual health, HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ advocacy and education.  Sister Odora is a Native Arizonan.
