Training behaviors such as coming when called (or cumming when commanded) is a goal that many in the kink community have. Training is enriching for dominants and submissives alike, builds trust in dynamics, and can be used to bring someone back from the brink of a nasty drop–but it’s easy to do ineffectively if you’re not careful!
Please join us for Principles of Behavioral Training to learn how training works, at the physiological and psychological levels, from someone who works directly in the animal behavior industry. We will begin by reviewing entry-level behavioral topics such as recalls and reinforcement. Pay attention to the skills discussed, because there will be a quiz–but, there is high-value reinforcement for those who get the questions right!
Presenter Bio:
Violet (they/them) has been a member of APEX for two years and has been volunteering since day one. They have a vanilla life that has direct involvement with animal training.
