We are pleased to have Wayne Brawner coming to APEX as a guest-teacher! He is well-practiced in Woo & BDSM and will be sharing his experience with us in this series you will not want to miss, regardless of your current level of knowledge in woo.

Wayne will be leading a series of 3 E.D.G.E.s focusing on skill development, partner connection, and self-awareness. This series will be in place of the Woo & BDSM E.D.G.E.s during the months of June, July, and September. It is strongly recommended to attend all 3 dates.

The goal is to establish a progression where participants should start from class 1, ensuring everyone builds a solid foundation before moving forward. Maintaining that energy synergy throughout the classes will undoubtedly create a transformative experience for all involved. 

ABOUT WAYNE:

Wayne Brawner, from Atlanta, GA, began his Leather journey in 1985. He holds the Mr Georgia Leather 2000 title, has served on several boards in the leather community, owned and ran several contests, and has taught over 1,500 BDSM-related classes. He alone has raised over $1,000,000.00 for clubs and groups in need, title holders, HIV centers, underprivileged children, and battered women’s shelters across the globe. Wayne has a deep passion for working with whips and exploring the energetic connection they bring. 

We hear it talked about, maybe we even think we understand it, there are many misconceptions.  Tonight we'll explore what we call 'woo' in BDSM.  For some it's tickling the upper palate in a person’s mind.  For others it’s spirituality through our BDSM, presence, hyper-focused connection, play and relationships, for some it's a joyous, exhilarating, unrestrained and sometimes scary exchange of energy during play and for still others it's a deeply profound interpersonal  emotional experience.  The key to exploration has to be shaped to the lock in each person.

 Sometimes in BDSM interactions…SOMETHING is missing.   It’s hard to put our finger on what.  We speak of energy in such a vague state.   Through holding space, BDSM, pain, intense sensations, power exchange, eliminating thought squirrels, meditation, energy, vibrations, rituals, we can shift our state, transcending pain to another psychological and physical plane.  By tapping into connection, pain, power and/or sex, we reach these higher states.  

 Join us to discuss what woo is, why it’s important in our interactions, the ways we get to those places, the means we use to transcend our bodies, our fears, our pain to reach sub or top space and connect with our partners on a new and deeper level. Using pleasure as a vehicle to open a person up mentally, emotionally, physically

Extended Development, Growth, & Education (E.D.G.E.). An E.D.G.E. group is made up of APEX members who all share a common interest in learning, teaching, and developing skills. This is a peer-to-peer learning environment that facilitates practice and sharing knowledge in a particular area.
