What is APEX?

APEX is a private, 501(c)7 membership club entirely operated by the membership of APEX.  As a volunteer organization, 100% of our proceeds go right back into the club, and every part of our structure is transparent to our membership. Our club culture is about getting out what you put in, and most people find a way to volunteer that they enjoy. To learn more about volunteering,

APEX Mission Statement

The Arizona Power Exchange (APEX) is a not-for-profit corporation that provides education, social opportunities, and support for adults who are interested in Bondage and Discipline; Dominance and Submission; and Sadomasochism (BDSM) who value individual responsibility, integrity, confidentiality, and respect for self and others. APEX provides on-going forums for education and practice of BDSM and opportunities for like-minded individuals to socialize, explore and learn in a respectful and dignified environment. APEX welcomes all sexual orientations, consensual relationships, and risk-aware BDSM and sexual practices.

APEX Core Values

We Believe In:

Respect for One’s Self and Others: Individuals engaged in BDSM are valued members of society and deserve to be treated with respect regardless of the role assumed in that society.

Stewardship of the BDSM Lifestyle: The participation in community service, volunteerism, educational forums, and support and encouragement of personal growth.

Diversity: The respect of individual differences including the respect of all religious and political beliefs, nationalities, ethnicities, genders and sexual orientations.

Personal and Communal Integrity: The individual freedom to make one’s own decisions and take one’s own actions, when doing so with honesty, personal responsibility, risk awareness, and consensuality.

Confidentiality: The right of each member to decide how much information about their own lifestyle, activities, and words shall be shared with any other individual.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Vision

Arizona Power Exchange is committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that supports, encourages, and celebrates the uniqueness of our community.  We are committed to continuous improvement, and bringing the best of our community and ideas forward.  We aspire to foster, sustain, and promote a culture of belonging, allyship and stewardship where all, regardless of their perspective and various backgrounds can be their authentic selves–free of judgement.  This is not possible without diverse perspectives and outreach to include those members of the community that go unheard.

DEI Commitment: APEX is committed to investigating our policy, language, programming, and culture to provide our under-served community members with the dignity we seek for all,  and to provide our wider membership with the education and tools they need to succeed at making APEX the place of opportunity and inclusion we want it to be.
