Events for Non-Members
The BDSM/Kink lifestyle can be an intimidating and overwhelming (and expensive) experience for those just getting started or new to the community, and it’s crucial to have a chance to explore community spaces before making a commitment. APEX provides a number of events throughout the month and year that are open to the 18+ community. These are great opportunities to meet the APEX community, start making friends, and decide whether APEX membership is for you.
APEX BBQ and Open House
The APEX BBQ and Open House is a relaxed environment to socialize and share your weekend with your friends. Occurring on the first Sunday of every month, the barbecue is a great way to round out a weekend, to recover from partying hard the night before, or to learn about APEX for the first time! APEX will be putting some burgers and hotdogs on the grill. Bring your favorite sides or desserts to share! Water will be available, but bring your favorite soda, juice or other non-alcoholic beverages and bring some to share with your new friends!
Orientations and Tours will be available for those interested in joining APEX! To learn more about APEX Membership and becoming part of a community of like-minded people with hundreds of education, social, and support events each year, please visit the Membership page. Orientation for new members starts at 1pm! Make sure you arrive early enough to leave time to socialize and get to know people!
Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
APEX Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are for members of the BDSM Community who share a common interest that come together to talk, share, and support one another. Keeping with the Arizona Power Exchange mission of support, APEX provides space to these discussion groups free of charge, and membership in the club is not required. If you are interested in any of these discussion groups, please check our calendar for the schedule. Anyone over 18 who shares an interest with the group may attend. Socials & Munches
APEX hosts a number of socials and munches that are open to community. Socials are non-play events where APEX members, kinksters, and newbies alike can make friends and socialize. (“Munch” is another term for a social activity for people in the BDSM/Kink community that excludes play. Munches usually take place at a restaurant or other location that serves food.)
APEX currently hosts two of these events every month: A “brunch” munch at FEZ Restaurant & Bar; and a bowling social at AMF Lanes Tempe. These events take place in businesses open to the general public, so please dress appropriately and be mindful of your settings.
