Event Listing Information

These fields will be used for display of your class on our website calendar as well as on FetLife.
Your class description (along with the class name) should grab attendees’ attention and inform them what to expect from your class. Think about how you would describe your class if someone were to ask you what you were presenting. Your class description should be similar.
Write in third-person. If you are new to presenting at APEX, your bio should help attendees to trust your knowledge, experience, and relevance in this topic. If you are an established or well-known presenter, this bio will help draw interest to the class. Feel free to mention other classes, books, or other projects you may be working on which are relevant.

Accommodations for Accessibility

APEX attempts to take efforts whenever possible to provide accommodations for members with accessibility needs. For classes, this can include making electronic copies of presentations, handouts, and transcripts available for download via our website in advance of the class. APEX highly encourages our presenters to allow this for their classes.

Presenter Agreements

APEX has decided to use a modified version of KEMS (Kink Education Minimum Standards) as a set of standards for kink instructors invited to the Club.

More in depth information as to each point in the KEMS is available at the web site, and we encourage applicants to read up on some of the background information on how the Standards were put together and also to see the changes that APEX has made for it to be a better fit for our Club .

It has two parts:

  1. The code of conduct sets expectations for instructors that are presenting at APEX.
  2. The disclosures give students and APEX the information they need to find instructors who are aligned with their values.

We ask that each presenter submitting this information does so to the best of their ability and knowledge, and to know that we use this as part of our decision making process for accepting presenters and not as the entire process itself.

This is a self reporting system where we do not automatically deny applications based on any one thing, but would want to know ahead of time if there is anything that may be brought to our attention due to your presenting at APEX.

The consent model that APEX has agreed to is Opt In Only.
