Your class description (along with the class name) should grab attendees’ attention and inform them what to expect from your class. Think about how you would describe your class if someone were to ask you what you were presenting. Your class description should be similar.

I will follow and demonstrate the Explicit Prior Permission model of consent in all classes that I present at APEX.

Mandatory Disclosures

I understand that APEX uses a Vetting system for all Presenters.

I hold myself honor bound to disclose if, at any point in the past, I:

Was convicted of any sexual or violent crime.

Was the subject of any type of restraining order.

Banned from a venue, organization, or event for an incident involving sex, violence, or consent violations.

Banned from teaching at a venue or event.

Used coercion to prevent anyone from sharing information about me.

Presentation Standards*

I agree to uphold the following standards of presentation for my class:

If my class includes a demonstration, I will arrange for specific participants for demo top(s) and/or bottom(s) as needed in advance of the class. I will instruct my demo participants to identify as such upon entry. (APEX allows free entry for up to two demo participants.)

I will follow the terms of the APEX Member Code of Conduct.

I will not reveal personal information or anecdotes about others without their specific permission.

I will not discuss personal involvement or knowledge of crimes of a violent or sexual nature.

I will not include in my class materials any photographs of children, even if the photographs and presentation context are non-sexual in nature. (Exception: Presenters may include non-sexual, non-nude photographs if the subjects are now over the age of 18 and have given explicit consent to include the photos in your presentation [Example: your own childhood photos]; or, if the photos are of historical significance and relevance. Sexualized or nude photographs of children are never permitted.)

I will demonstrate excellent consent in my class, even in situations where negotiation and consent has been achieved in advance.

I will not use pejorative language or state offense regarding APEX policies during class or before or after class in the vicinity of attendees.
