Immersive Erotic Theater
The Kinky Joys of Theatrical Role Play
March 3 @ 7:15 pm – 9:00 pm
For years you’ve learned and practiced flogging, bondage, and perhaps dozens more BDSM and kink tools and techniques. Have you ever thought about incorporating what you’ve learned into costumed theatrical role-play scenes, also known as “immersive erotic theater?” If so, this interactive workshop might be for you! Known for nearly two decades for their elaborate costumed role play scenes at kink parties and events throughout the Southwest, Order of E and Glorri will lead participants through the entire process of scene design, from the initial concept to play and performance. We’ll discuss how to come up with ideas and themes for roleplaying, design simple mood-setting sets, assemble inexpensive costumes and props, and build anticipation over several weeks of preparation. We’ll also discuss finding and managing an audience – if you’re into being watched – and much more! A hands-on prop-based exercise will get participants started preparing a scene of their choice, with a planning worksheet provided. Wearing your own costumes is highly encouraged! |

E currently owns and operates a private play space called the “InPain Asylum,” has performed for many years on stage as a comic and magician known as “Herr Doktor Bruno Brill,” and as an actor and screenwriter in local films. Additional writing of his is included in an anthology called “Trans-Kin : A Guide for Family & Friends of Transgender People.” He also leads a mutual aid group in Tucson assisting people experiencing homelessness. He has been a (non-credentialed) sex educator for over twenty years as well, presenting on topics such as enthusiastic consent, safer sex, fire play, wax play, harm reduction, self-pleasure, choosing safe play partners, and finding one’s kink energy. Together with Glorri, both members of Desert Dominion for many years, they have attended kink conferences throughout the Southwest and facilitated presentations on polyamory, enthusiastic consent, theatrical role play, religious role play, and other topics. In their personal roleplaying, E and Glorri focus on dark and taboo themes involving age play, family dynamics, CNC, abductions, religious play, non-human play, and medical and institutional scenes. Beyond those activities, Glorri is also a writer and artist, and in addition to presenting at kink clubs and conferences, has presented for many years at comic and sci-fi cons, as well as writing and publishing in a number of genres, including erotica. Her artwork is included in a recently-published and widely-acclaimed novel by one of her long-time colleagues.
