Knife Play and Mind Fuckery with Wayne Brawner

November 25 @ 7:15 pm 9:30 pm

In this class, you’ll explore the intriguing and often misunderstood world of knife play and psychological edge play. This is about safely engaging in activities that can seem intimidating, and learning how to blend sensation and psychology to create intense experiences without causing harm.

We’ll start with an introduction to the tools, discussing various types of knives and props, including some that are made of resin for safety, and others that are sharp but designed for controlled use. You’ll gain insights into why these tools are used and how to employ them effectively in scenes. Safety is paramount, and the focus will be on understanding both the physical and mental aspects of these intense forms of play.

The class will dive into techniques to get inside someone’s mind, exploring methods to set up and create “mind-fuck” scenarios. This includes using visual cues, environmental elements, and psychological triggers to evoke strong reactions, without crossing boundaries or causing lasting harm. An example of this could be as simple as throwing rubber cockroaches in a room to play with fear responses, which will be disclosed at the beginning of the class for anyone with phobias.

We’ll also touch on consent, discussing more sensitive and controversial forms of edge play, such as race play, and emphasize the importance of clear communication and mutual agreement between all parties involved. This class is about creating experiences that are consensual, thrilling, and mentally engaging in a safe and informed way.

To demonstrate these concepts, I will bring up a volunteer to show practical knife techniques, such as safely cutting off a shirt in a controlled manner. The goal is to not only teach skills but to provoke thoughtful conversation and allow attendees to share their experiences and fears openly. As a facilitator, my role is to guide this dialogue, enabling everyone to explore their interests, debunk myths, and gain a deeper understanding of how to incorporate these elements safely into their play. This is not about having all the answers—it’s about providing a space for open conversation, reflection, and consensual exploration of your kinky side.
