Yes, yes, and yes to all of these frequently asked questions from new members! Yes, parties are a great place to socialize… However, if you are brand new to the scene, those social opportunities might be a little hard to navigate. There’s a lot going on at a dungeon party, and if you’re new to the landscape and the language, you might find yourself struggling to find your place in this new environment. Pre-party socials are here to help! Come meet and mingle with other, more experienced Kinksters, before the party and play get started- it’ll be a lot easier to navigate the nuances of a play party with your new friends.
We will have kink-specific stations to make it easy to find the Kinksters who share your particular interests, as well as conversation prompt cards to help you out if you get shy! Our hope is for this to be a welcoming environment consisting of Kinksters and APEX members of all experience levels.
This is NOT a scene-pairing or match-making event! APEX and it’s leadership make no promises that you will find a play partner or play opportunities at this event. However, the best way to meet new play partners is to start by making new friends. Remember: People first, Kinksters second. Get to know people on a personal, friendly level, and the kinky conversations are sure to emerge.
Please join us before the first party of the month for this fun introduction to play parties. Social hour from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, followed by dungeon setup, until 8:00pm when the party starts. Remember, APEX is an entirely volunteer-run establishment, and our volunteers generously donate their time to help set up our parties every weekend. Many hands make light work; if you’d like to share in this volunteer opportunity with your new friends, please do. Then we can get to partying that much sooner!

As a member of the Education Committee, Rose knows the ins and outs of APEX and it’s party etiquette and protocols, and she’d love to help show you the ropes! Rose is happy to welcome new members and help them learn how to have their most successful party experience that keeps them wanting to come back for more play.
